Local Government Member’s Days In Zamość’s Commune

The name of the second event organized as part of the project “Green Hearts of Europe- the promotion of cultural and touristic values of Zamość Commune site” was „Green Hearts of Europe- Local Government Member’s Days”. It consisted: study tour, local government’s seminary- the Recognition, European Sport’s Games and Music of Europe Festival. The guest list included delegates from Staffolo Commune (Italy), Sárospatak Commune (Hungary), Agentúry regionálneho rozvoja Poloniny (Slovakia)and representatives from PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society ) Branch in Rzeszów have arrived to the Zamość Commune. On 3rd June 2010 the study tour named “Green Hearts of Europe- Zamojszczyzna and Roztocze” was held. Participants could admire the beauty of Roztocze’s forests, “Szum” Reservation, rivers forming marvelous waterfalls and nature, which especially amaze during this season. In the evening, guests from Europe were invited for a concert of sacral music performed by a group “Lumen” from Poznań named “Love explained me everything”, which took place in John the Baptist’s Church in Lipsk. Local Government seminary- the Recognition On Friday 4th June 2010 in Kalinowice a local government seminary- the Recogniotion was held. New arrivals were greated by Ryszard Gliwiński- Mayor of the Zamość Commune, who later gave a speech titled” “Local Government in Poland after 20 years. Goals and competences”. A lecture devoted to Zamość Commune, its culture and touristic values was prelected by Magda Misztal- the Manager of Promotion, Tourism and Sport Agency of Zamość Commune. The beauty of Roztocze and its touristic values were presented to the participants by Edward Słoniewski- the President of PTTK Banch in Zamość. The second part of the meeting was dedicated to presentation of the partners that took part in “Green Hearts of Europe- The Promotion of cultural and touristic values of Zamość Commune’s areas”. The representative from Hungarian Commune Sárospatak - Éles György was presenting the history and culture of the Sárospatak region. The most interesting places of the region, where Agentúra regionálneho rozvoja Poloniny acts were presented by President of the association - Svätoslav Hust’ák. Commune Staffolo was represented by Mayor Sauro Ragni. Participants of the seminary had a chance to watch a movie promoting that region of Italy. At the end Łukasz Biedka from PTTK Banch in Rzeszow presented forms and the scope of society’s work. The seminary helped to explore and present the characteristics of individual project partners. Green Hearts of Europe- European Sports Games The next event organized under “Days of Local Government” was “European Sports Games”, which was held in Żdanowo on 5th June 2010. Ryszard Gliwiński- Mayor of Zamość Commune, Jerzy Bondyra President of Zamość Commune’s Council, Sauro Ragni Mayor of Staffolo Commune, Svätoslav Hust’ák president of Agentúry regionálneho rozvoja Poloniny and Éles György- the representative of Sárospatak Commune have ceremonially opened the meeting. The Sports Games Torch was ceremonially fired by: Katarzyna Suchowicz age: 12-from Wólka Panieńska- the representative of Lubuskie province in football, Karol Ordyniec age: 9- multiple winner of Commune’s cross country race and Mateusz Fusiara age: 16-GKS Okęcie Mokre footballer. Many individual and family sports and recreational competitions took place. Another attraction was “Koncert na Kresach”, the following bands performed at the concert: Vihorlat from Slovakia and Dzikowianie from Stare Dzikowo (Podkarpackie province). Strong Men demonstrated their force and invited the audience to join them. The youth- dance group “G&P” from Mokre performed as well. Astronomy Enthusiasts from Zamość organized sun watching contest on their stall devoted to astronomy in Żdanów. Over 700 competitors participated in the European Sports Games. Green Hearts of Europe- Music of Europe Festival Music of Europe Festival took place on Sunday 6th June 2010 in Żdanów. It was opened by the concert of family Badachowie and vocal group Camerata Belfer from Sitaniec. All of the artists, that had arrived to the Festival, were greated by Ryszard Gliwiński- Mayor of Zamość Commune. The representatives from partner countries like Slovakia, Italy and Hungary have also gave speeches to the participants. On the stage in Żdanowo appeared: Vihorlat band from Slovakia, Youth Brass OSP Białowola, Wesołe Gosposie from Kolonia Sitaniec, Dzikowianie from Stare Dzikowo, Goof Voices band from Łaszczowo, Choir Sitanianie, Białowolanki from Białowola, Roztoczanki from Wólka Wieprzecka and Echo Lipska form Lipsk- in total over 200 artists. The finishing performance belonged to Kabaret Jurki, who presented their songs and sketches and made the audience laught. Circles of Rural Housewifes from: Wólka Wieprzecka, Białowola, Siedliska, Mokre, Żdanówko, Hubały, Lipsk, Sitaniec Wolica, Sitaniec, Płoskie Zawady, Bortatycz Kolonia, Białobrzeg, Wierzchowiny, Chyża, Sitaniec Kolonia, Bortatycz, Wysokie, Wólka Panieńska and Szopinko oraz Mrs. Agata Piwko from Szopinka presented their achievements during the meeting. One of the greatest attractions of the Festival was speckled ground squirrel, that distributed reflective gadgets to children under the action “Safe with Zamość Commune”. Everyone could participate in a contest, where the main prize was a trip to Slovakia. As a result of drawing people from the contest lists, the winners were: Zbigniew Skrzypa from Bortatycz Kolonia and Krystyna Pokrywka from Chyża. They are allowed to take an accompanying person with them. All the artists were given grawertons as a souvenir of participating in the Festival and travel guides. The Mayor of Zamość Commune- Ryszard Gliwiński personally gave them to the representatives of the bands.
